What is Healthy In The Garden State?

Healthy In The Garden State is a vibrant new streaming series on a mission to help New Jersey residents live their healthiest lives. From farms to restaurants, hospitals to acupuncturists, running clubs to yoga studios, each episode provides information, insights, and inspiration to help our communities thrive — physically, mentally, socially, and beyond.

Beyond the show, it is a brand sharing additional wellness resources, interviewing health experts from around the state in our series of ‘minisodes‘, and showing up in the community via events, content creation, workshops, and other health-related goings-on.

All episodes plus additional resources are on YouTube as well as posted on this website. You can click from the homepage or from the episode page. Always free.

Our miniseries ‘A Dose of Health’ is also found on both YouTube and this website.

Why does this show exist?

New Jersey is known for ranking higher than most state on a ‘health’ scale, but the sadly, the bar is set so low, that we still have a collective long way to go in the goals to live our healthiest lives. Healthy In The Garden State is on a mission to help in any way we can. We are passionate about people feeling their best, and we hope that the episodes and resources we provide may help you in some way!

Who is the host?

Kate Cherichello Tente has been a certified fitness professional for nearly 20 years as well as a performer for over 25. Healthy In The Garden State marries two of her passions: working on camera and helping people live their healthiest lives. Thanks to the production company NJ360tv, Kate was able to bring this dream of a show to life!

Kate’s journey in fitness began in college when she first began getting certified in various fitness disciplines, starting in group fitness and adding on personal training as well. Upon moving to NYC for 14 years, Kate worked with Manhattan’s top execs, media moguls, and celebrities — from people who have never worked out to former college athletes, interns to senior citizens.

Kate is an ACSM-certified Group Fitness Instructor, ACE-certified Personal Trainer, and further certified for: CPR/AED, Pre-/Post-natal Fitness, Mat Pilates, TRX, and holds both the ACE Orthopedic Exercise Specialty Certification and ACE Fitness Nutrition Specialty Certification.
